Our Trip To Texas

We just returned from spending the last two weeks in Texas. It was sooooo great spending time with our family and time in the sun!!! I didn't mind the 100+ temps at all:) I wish we were able to stay longer, but we were still able to do a lot in a little amount of time. First, Howard went to Vegas for a friends wedding while the girls and I spent time in Conroe with my parents. We shopped and ate and went to all of the kids favorite spots like Incredible Pizza, the mall (carousel), Snip Its, Chick-Fil-A, and Dip n Dots. I think we ate out just about every meal! In fact, we were so looking forward to the food on this trip that we immediately went to Freebirds and Chick-Fil-A when we got off the plane:) Lol.
After spending some time in Conroe, we went to Ganado to see Howard's family. They had a big fish fry for us, which was really nice. We also discovered that Audra LOVES fried shrimp! Who knew?!There were also about 10 kids (cousins) there, so the girls had a blast playing outside with them. I got some really cute pics of them together...
After that, we went to Austin with Howard's sisters and their families, and stayed the night in a hotel with hopes that we could finally SWIM in the morning! But as luck would have it, it RAINED all night and that morning so our plan didn't work out so well. I guess we brought it with us...you're welcome:). We were still able to get some good pics of the kids at UT and the capital, and eat lunch at the Hula Hut (one my favorite places in Austin) so we still had a good time:) After that, we headed to Smithville and stayed with Howard's sister another night before heading back to C-town.
We finished up the vacation with Poppy's 70th surprise birthday party, my cousin's wedding, doctor appointments, and more shopping!!! We got to see some of our friends too which was so great. It was a fast trip but definitely a great one ( minus the fact Howard had to work during a lot of it). Now it's about getting over jet-lag and getting back into a routine. The girls have their days and nights mixed up so it has been interesting. Anyway, here are some pics of our time in Texas:).....
